 Sunlight Immune Detector:
This indoor/outdoor detector offers many advantages. The LX-402 is not only simple to install, but provides greater reliability against false alarms caused by sunlight. The unit covers a 40ft x 50ft (12m x 15m)area at 120 degrees wide.
Conventional outdoor passive infrared detectors often produce false alarms caused by sunlight. But the LX-402 employs Double Conductive Shielding which resists more than 50,000 lux of sunlight (e.g. during sunrises and sunsets). This provides highly stable performances, while allowing the units to be used in many different applications.

- Patented Double Conductive Shielding
Double filtering and conductive metal shielding of the Pyro
blocks out visible light and RFI. This allows only infrared energy to reach
the pyroelectric elements.
